Does FundZi charge any fees?
Yes, a small, transparent processing fee is added on top of each contribution to cover secure payment handling and keep the platform running. It's never deducted from what you raise: the organiser always receives the full contributed amount, and the fee only applies once money actually moves. Creating a fundraiser, sharing it, and tracking contributions is always free.
How do contributors send money?
Simple. They open the fundraiser link, enter their name and amount, and request an M-Pesa prompt. A PIN request appears on their phone, they enter their PIN, and the contribution goes through. FundZi records it automatically.
Does FundZi hold the money?
No. FundZi doesn't hold your funds. Every contribution is held securely by our payment partner, and once a day your total contributions are settled together to your chosen M-Pesa number, Till, or Paybill. That daily rhythm makes reconciling your books simple and predictable, and every contribution is still visible on your fundraiser page the moment it comes in, so you're never in the dark about what's coming. The organiser always receives exactly the full contributed amount.
How can I record cash or offline payments?
As the organiser, you can manually record any contribution that was made outside FundZi whether it's cash in hand or a direct M-Pesa transfer someone sent to you personally. Just go to your admin dashboard and tap "Record Cash Contribution". It will be added to your fundraiser totals and visible to all contributors like any other contribution.
Can I share my fundraiser on WhatsApp?
Absolutely. Every fundraiser comes with a shareable link. One tap sends it to your WhatsApp group, and you can share live contribution updates the same way.
Is contribution tracking transparent?
Yes. Every contribution is recorded and visible to all contributors in real time. No one has to wonder how much has been raised or who has contributed.
Can I run more than one fundraiser?
Yes. Sign in to your dashboard and tap "Add another fundraiser." No need to create a second account. Each one gets its own page, link, and contribution tracking.
